Parousia Weekly Update Letter For The Week of July 16, 2007
"The greatest proof of Christianity for others is not how far a man can logically analyze his reasons for believing, but how far in practice he will stake his life on his belief." T.S. Eliot

A House Church Gathering With Neil Gamble
"A Gathering Of Angels . . . And A Time To Dance

Dear Friends,
Neil Gamble will be with us this week. There has been a schedule adjustment regarding Wednesday. I hope many of you can join us for this time (Wednesday, July 18 through Sunday, July 22)

Blessings,

A House Church Listening & Equipping Gathering With Neil Gamble (July 18-22)

Perhaps you can relate to the following e-mail I received Saturday from a friend (name withheld):

"Guess I'm just going to ramble a little here to start my morning. The first time I came to Spokane the Spirit said to come here and "attempt" to set up what he showed me. The second time I came back to try salvage those things that had been set up. Those two times were within my choice. This time I feel totally as though the Lord drug us here through a series of dozens of astounding miracles. I had hoped to have seen something by now that was for me to do and the Lord in it. A couple years ago I had a very strong vision in which I was told I will not return to Spokane again except by the Spirit of God and with authority and power. That power of deliverance needs to be brought forth. Of all the areas I've been in the PNW is in great need of deliverance. Yet - as I sit here I get the same old feelings about this depressing - deluded - stiff necked - self seeking - SEPERATIONISTS... that I pretty much had before. I had even forgotten about that "cobra" spirit over this place until I saw it again a couple of days ago. Without Christ I can do nothing - so it is of no worth for me to engage in anything that would not be directly inspired or orchestrated by and through the spirit. Maybe I am simply like my friend Dr. Eby who said the Lord told him he would be back before he died again. Well, doc's been dead again for a few years. All this is discouraging to no end and it has eaten up my soul. I say by the power and the blood of Jesus Christ this day that the principality over this place be brought down and the blindness over these cities be removed. That the hearts of men may receive the true Christ and that this young generation go forth preaching the kingdom with wisdom. May your own head be poured over THIS DAY with the oil of the spirit and gladness from head to foot as Aaron."

How about you? Are you weary in the battle and in need of hearing a fresh and encouraging word from the Lord? Are you ready for a season of greater intimacy with God?  I believe we are on the eve of a powerful move of God's Spirit in our area that will absolutely take our breath away, and I believe God is calling his "available church" together for a special time of listening and hearing what it is He wants to do, particularly with regards to spiritual outpouring and the house church movement in our area. If you are sensing anything similar, then I urge you to make time to come and be with us as Neil Gamble ministers to us this week. I believe there is both an urgency and an expectancy in the air that tells me this is an important time. If you agree, please join us. We want to hear from God and be as "agenda-less" as possible. Intimacy and hearing from God is our "agenda". Everything else is optional.  I believe God wants to do something special during this time, and I would hate for you to miss out!  I sincerely hope many of you will make the effort to join us.

Conference Details

Place:  The home of Al & Patti West. You might remember Al from my newsletter entitled Lunch With Al: A House Church Tale. Al is planting house churches both behind bars (state prison) and on the outside among prisoners and former prisoner. He has a beautiful home that was designed to accommodate large gatherings. Al assures me that the swimming pool will be open and available for either recreation or baptisms!  Directions to Al's home are given on the website, along with pictures of the route.

Schedule

Wednesday (18th  - Change of Details): Al West & his house church group of ex-prisoners usually meets on Wednesday evenings at New Hope Ranch Urban in downtown Spokane. As Al thought about it and we talked about it this week, we are going to move this meeting to Al's house as well. We originally said this would be a closed meeting for Al's men only, due to probation restrictions, but we are now making this an open meeting and YOU ARE INVITED TO COME. The only thing is that we are asking that NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18 come to these meetings, because some of the men in Al's group have that as a condition of their probation. So please leave kids under 18 home.

Thursday(19th), Friday(20th) & Saturday(21st) Evenings: Starting at 6:00PM at Al's home. Each evening will be a POTLUCK, so bring a dish to share and a healthy appetite. We'll be done when God's done with us, but our "schedule" is to wind up between 9 and 10PM for all the "working stiffs" among us. We'll be sensitive so everyone's schedules.

Open Times: We're leaving the days open, which means that Neil will be available for private meetings as God leads you & him. Both Saturday and Sunday we will have something going on, but it isn't "scheduled" because we want to find the mind of Christ and listen to what He wants us to do.

Registration & Fees: NONE. We aren't charging anything and there is no registration. We will take up an offer for Neil's expenses. It would be nice to get an e-mail saying you are coming, but we believe God will bring those whom He wants to be here!

Questions & Information:  Please feel free to call or e-mail me: msmith@parousianetwork.org or (509) 928-3360 (H) and (509) 475-8797 (C) if you have any questions.
